We started as Flue-Cured Tobacco Stabilization Corporation in 1946. This cooperative consists of tobacco farmers in a 5 state area in the southeast. In 2004, Stabilization Tobacco Corp. purchased U.S. Flue-Cured Tobacco Growers, Inc., a tobacco manufacturing facility located in Timberlake, NC. This facility is a full-service manufacturing plant and is the home of 1839®. Our 1839® Portfolio now includes 1839® premium cigarettes, LIP & NON-LIP, (full flavor, light, menthol, menthol light, ultra light and non-filter), 1839® RYO/MYO, 1839® small cigars, 1839® cigarette tubes, and 1839® pipe tobacco.
